AMD Could Launch Cheap Ryzen 7600X3D CPU In September

()

Rumors suggest that AMD is working on another X3D CPU for the Zen 4 based Ryzen 7000 series. It could be in the form of a 6-core Ryzen 7600X3D.

After the massive success of the AMD Ryzen 5800X3D CPU. AMD released not one, not two, but three CPUs with X3D in the Ryzen 7000 series. This includes Ryzen 5800X3D’s successor, the Ryzen 7800X3D, which is among the best sold CPUs in some markets and remains best-selling even now.

Since then, we have seen AMD releasing other CPUs with the X3D name, which offers extra 64MB extra cache over the existing L3 cache on the CPUs. This includes AMD releasing Ryzen 5700X3D and even Ryzen 5600X3D.

Now it looks like AMD could add even more X3D CPUs in the Ryzen 7000 lineup. Including a cheaper one.

Ryzen 7600X3D Coming This September

Twitter (now X) based leaker @AnhPhuH has revealed that AMD could launch AMD Ryzen 7600X3D as soon as September this year.

While this is just a rumor, VideoCardz says @AnhPhuH is a reliable leaker of AMD products.

Though we aren’t aware about the specs, there’s one thing for sure, it’s in all likelihood going to be a 6-core CPU. Just like the Ryzen 7600X.

As for the pricing, we think it’s likely to be between the MSRP of Ryzen 7600X and the non-X Ryzen 7600. It could be around $249. But that’s just our speculation. AMD could price it higher, too.

The September release date is interesting, though. AMD is rumored to launch Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs in September. So will AMD also launch Ryzen 7600X3D together with it. That’s a good possibility.

Another interesting thing is how will AMD market it. Thing is, recently released Ryzen 9000 CPUs haven’t performed great in games. This includes Ryzen 9600X, which too has got mixed reviews in gaming.

So it’s very much a possibility that Ryzen 7600X3D could easily defeat Ryzen 9600X in gaming. This is thanks to it’s larger cache, which benefits massively in some games. Means no gamer is going to buy the Ryzen 9600X CPU, which isn’t selling that great either way.

These cheaper CPUs are mainstream CPUs. While the more, the better, it will be interesting how AMD is going to manage and market them together like this.
